I have extensive experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds who present with a wide range of social, personal, and mental health concerns. My work includes over seven years as a counsellor in University and TAFE settings, where I supported local students alongside refugees, asylum seekers, newly arrived migrants, and people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities.
I have also worked as a Clinician with Corrections Victoria, where I was involved in the assessment and rehabilitation of individuals convicted of sexual and violent offences. In addition, I bring significant experience from the family violence sector, supporting people impacted by family violence and facilitating behaviour change programs for individuals seeking to take responsibility for their use of violence.
I hold a Master of Social Work, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, a Graduate Certificate in Client Assessment and Case Management (Men's Family Violence), a Graduate Certificate of Career Education & Development, a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE), a Certificate in Advanced Counselling Skills, and a Bachelor of Arts.
Alongside my professional experience, I bring a deep understanding shaped by navigating many of life's challenges myself. These experiences have strengthened my empathy, compassion, and respect for the courage it takes to seek support. I understand how overwhelming and isolating life can feel at times, and I approach my work with genuine care, warmth, and an appreciation of each person's unique story.
